Welcome to the Sixth Form at Coloma.
We are proud to say that the Sixth Form at Coloma has its own unique and distinctive atmosphere, rooted in the deep sense of our shared Catholic community. The Sixth Form provides a warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere to all our students, of all faiths or none in which they can thrive both academically and personally.
We Strive to be a centre of excellence which inspires the next generation of female leaders to achieve through the love of God, inspirational experiences and our strong Catholic traditions. We see this daily in the motivation, success and positive contributions the members of our Sixth Form bring to their day and make in the wider community. Whether in terms of: Personal successes as our destinations data demonstartes in which 97% choose to progress to university, and last year over 30% went to Russell Group Universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, Nottingham, UCL, LSE & Kings. Through student leadership contributions to charities, events and mentoring across the school or engaging with the opportunities that arise for them within the Sixth Form.
We are incredibly fortunate to be the current custodians of the rich culture, heritage and history of the last 150 years here at Coloma. Our foundations of faith were built by the Daughters of Mary and Joseph, who are an international community of religious women, called to make visible the merciful love of God. The Daughters of Mary and Joseph strive “to be instruments of mercy in the hands of God”. Thus, as a key part of the school our Sixth Form looks to live out the charism of compassion for others. This means we work as individuals and together to make a positive difference and impact in the community in which we live and beyond.
As such, every Sixth Form student is invited to take full part in the life of the school through their curriculum, our enrichment offers, societies, student leadership opportunities and moments of community service. We hope to give every student the opportunity to find their passion and develop themselves to their fullest.
We are confident that our students will say the Sixth Form is challenging, rewarding and an excellent preparation for either university, further education, an apprenticeship or the world of work.
We look forward to welcoming you to Coloma.
