The Local Governing Committee, acting through its Admissions Committee, will admit pupils each year at age 11 without regard to aptitude or ability. Coloma welcomes applications from throughout the community, regardless of faith or background; however, Applicants need to be aware that the Admissions Policy determines the order in which places are offered when there is over-subscription.
To apply for a place at Coloma, please review the information below. It will guide you through our admissions process and outline the steps needed to complete your application.

Information requested on this form is only used if the school is over-subscribed and there is a need to apply the over-subscription criteria. That ranking will determine the order in which offers of places are made.
Please note that the deadline for submission of the Supplementary Information Form for September 2025 Year 7 applications is Thursday 31 October 2024.
NOTE TO APPLICANTS:
Applicants with children currently in Year 6 & applying for September 2025: Please ensure that you also complete the eAdmissions Common Application Form as required by your local Authority, including Coloma within your list of preferences.
In-Year applications for Current Years 7 - 11: Please complete the Admissions Administration Document. You may wish to also seek advice from your Local Authority Admissions Department.
Please upload all documents including any proof of faith and Certificates of Catholic Practice when you complete the Admissions Administration Document.

If your daughter has not been offered a placed at Coloma Convent Girls’ School you have the right to appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel. This right applies in respect of all applications for all Year Groups.

How do I make an appeal?

An appeal form will be sent to you. All paperwork must be completed and returned by the date stipulated.
The Panel will be given a copy of your original application and any other paperwork that you have submitted. You can add to this information on your appeal form and attach any documents in support of your case. Any additional paperwork should be provided in advance as it will not be possible for the Panel to consider additional submissions on the day of the hearing.
National Offer Day & Waiting List
National Offer Day for Secondary Applications is Monday 3 March 2025.
Please ensure that you accept the place offered to you through the local authority eAdmissions portal. Accepting a place does not influence the outcome of a request to go onto a Waiting List or Admissions Appeal in any way, but ensures that your child will have a school place in September.
If you have already made an application to us and Coloma was a higher preference than the one you have been offered, the Local Authority will automatically add you onto our waiting list. If Coloma was a lower preference, please contact your Local Authority and ask that your child is added to our waiting list.
If you have not applied to us previously, you need to notify your local authority that you wish to be added onto our waiting list and complete a Supplementary Information Form to ensure that any additional information is taken into account.
Please bear in mind that it is not possible to make further offers until we have received notification from the local authorities of the outcome of all offers made on 3 March.
